The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center holds the distinction of offering America’s largest contiguous exhibit hall—1.1 million square feet of prime exhibition space all under one roof, on one level. Named after the city’s first African American mayor, this 3-million-square-foot facility spans nearly 11 blocks along the Mississippi River, making it a consistent Top 10 host of conventions and tradeshows nationally. The convention center recently achieved LEED Gold certification, becoming the largest LEED-certified project in Louisiana and the largest convention center in the U.S. certified under LEED v4.1 Operations and Maintenance. The 60,300-square-foot Great Hall offers a column-free ballroom with 25,400 square feet of pre-function space and a stunning rooftop terrace. With 140 meeting rooms, a 4,000-seat performing arts theater, and a new 7.5-acre linear park along Convention Center Boulevard, this venue embodies New Orleans‘ legendary hospitality.

Load-In Access
Freight access spans the nearly one-kilometer-long building with dedicated dock areas at each hall, loading platform doors measuring 20 by 20 feet, and a seperate shipping and receiving freight entrance.
Power Distribution
All utilities including electrical, plumbing, gas, steam, and compressed air are provided exclusively in-house. Currently undergoing a multi-phased renovation with technology upgrades.
Internet Connectivity
Telecommunications services are provided exclusively in-house. A 100% redundant fiber optic backbone is burstable to 10 gigabits per second. Free WiFi is available in all public areas.

Rigging equipment and labor in ballrooms, the New Orleans Theater, low-ceiling hall areas, lobbies, and meeting rooms are provided exclusively in-house by the center’s production team.
